The 15th edition of SICAM was crowned with success, with Cleaf presenting its collection of innovative surfaces for furniture and interiors through a display made up of modular elements that create a surreal panorama in four material effects: fabric, metal, stone, wood. Among the most innovative products, the new Doga texture, a contemporary interpretation of the wooden staves that make up the body of the barrel, won the impressions. The architectural event "Material Matters Vol. 5: Color", organized by ek magazine under the auspices of the Hellenic Institute of Architecture, was completed with great success on May 27 at the Benaki Museum atrium on Piraeus Street. In the packed atrium, speakers from the field of architecture and design developed the importance of color in architectural design, through thematic presentations that highlighted different aspects of this fascinating element. On the occasion of MilanDesignWeek 2024 Cleaf presented Living Small, a concept that explores small buildings. Projects in which the spatial limit represents an opportunity for experimentation and a reflection on modularity. The innovative industrial process of design and fabrication stages, along with extensive interior customization, make small buildings an ideal context for Cleaf surfaces. At the Salone del Mobile.Milano an house with a rhomboid base and sloping roof, designed by Bestetti Associati and set in a lunar landscape, showcased potential applications. Collaboration with the Spanish studio Inzink Design has led to the creation of four buildings, placed within the corporate showroom CCube. An exhibition to discover the four material effects: wood, metal, stone, fabric. To mark the occasion, two new textures have been unveiled: SBALZO A geometric pattern inspired by artistic woodworking characterizes the Sbalzo texture. During this year's two-day Architect Show we had the opportunity to present the new texture Tolda, a texture inspired by the wooden deck used in pleasure boats and with its characteristic black stripes that run vertically across its surface. At Sicam 2023 in Pordenone, the trade show where you can find all the product novelties and market trends for future collections of furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, contract and interior design, our particapation was a complete success with the presentation of our new texture Tolda. With great pleasure we welcomed the Art & Design students of ΑΚΤΟ. The tour around our showroom and the presentation of our materials and their capabilities took place in a unique atmosphere with the great interest of these future designers adding color to the evening.
